The Speaker of the Edo State House of Assembly Francis Okiye has been impeached by Nine out of the ten members of the Assembly over alleged high handedness.
His impeachment followed a motion moved by the majority leader of the House Henry Okhurobo.
The House thereafter elected Dr. Marcus Onobhu as the new speaker.
