Rotary Club Ikeja-Alausa Set to Reward Nigeria Students …Launches Online ESSAY CONTEST

The month of September in Rotary International is designated as Basic Education and Literacy Month. In this month, Rotary Clubs are charged to carry out activities and project that touches on education and improve literacy.

In a true reflection of Rotary International goals for this month, the Rotary Club of Ikeja-Alausa District 9110 Nigeria is embarking on an ESSAY CONTEST for Junior Secondary School Students Three and Senior Secondary School classes (JSS 3 & SSS Classes).

This special project is basically designed to bring out the genius and inherent talent in our young scholars. The topic for the Essay Contest is – HOW I WILL MAKE NIGERIA GREAT.

Considering the prevailing restriction on gathering and school opening occasioned by the COVID19 Pandemic, the club has decided that the contest will be an online one and entries will be sent to the official email address of the club –

The kick-off date is September 10th, 2020 and entry closes by 12mid day of September 20th, 2020.

The winners (1st, 2nd, and 3rd) will be selected by a special panel set up for this purpose and eventual winners will be given cash rewards, plus books and products.

The winners of this easy contest will also be published on our official website and will be promoted via all our social media platforms.
