The Kaduna State Government has named Ambassador Ahmed Nuhu Bamali from Mallawa Ruling House as the new Emir of Zazzau Emirate.
Since the demise of the 18th emir of the emirate, Alhaji Shehu Idris, there has been tension over, who becomes the new monarch.
The Govnor of Kaduna state Mallam Nasir Elrufai on Wednesday announced the immediate past Nigerian ambassador to Thailand Ahmad Nuhu Bamalli as the new Emir of Zaria.
Bamalli replaced the late Shehu Idris that died on 20th of September 2020 after 45 years on the throne.
New Emir Bamalli served as a commissioner in Kaduna state under El Rufai government.
Alh. Bamalli is the first emir from the Mallawa ruling house in 100 years, following the death of his grandfather, Emir Dan Sidi in 1920 According to Govnor El Rufai.
The Kaduna state Governor congratulated HRH Alhaji Ahmed Nuhu Bamalli on his appointment and wish him a successful and peaceful reign.
