GLOBAL HAND WASHING DAY!

Every 15th Day of October is set aside by United Nation as Global Handwashing Day. It may or may not surprise you to know that there is a day to commemorate handwashing.

Today as Global Handwashing Day, it is not something that normally catches widespread interest, but the Corona virus pandemic has undoubtedly thrust hand hygiene to the forefront of everyone’s attention.

Handwashing with ordinary soap and water for at least 30 seconds is one of the most effective ways to prevent the spread of not just COVID-19, but other viruses and germs as well.

It is easy to forget these simple habits, especially now that we are faced with many other challenges as a country and as we move towards full reopening of our country and economic activities.

So do remember to wash your hands regularly and stay vigilant at all times. Happy celebration!
